another "last" weekend

we don't quite know when the baby will arrive, so each day and weekend that passes is our last as a family of 2 plus a pup. 

but i certainly can't complain. we cleaned the house - again, went grocery shopping for just a handful of days - again, and and talked over how excited & nervous we both are about this little one's arrival - again. but mostly, we took a few more walks at the park, enjoyed the 70+ degree weather, and felt the lively breeze all throughout our apartment. 

another thing we've been doing with frequency these days is bathing mrs. maude. our plan is that before we head off to the birthing center we'll hand her over to our good friend to watch while we're gone. but of course no one wants to hand off their smelly dog, so much to maude's dismay she's getting a bath about once a week these days. she's learned to avoid being near the bathroom when called.

for her, the upside of this is that the "not allowed in mama and papa's bed" rule is bent, and she can climb in on saturday and sunday mornings. 

she's such a funny creature when in bed. acts as though she's always allowed, and that we are the intruders. anyway, here's evidence - had to pass it along.
