our weekend

in the midst of doing a tremendous amount of packing [read: throwing away items that we never needed], nik and i made an effort to treat ourselves to a fantastic weekend.

on saturday morning, maude reminded us of how beautiful the weather was and that it was silly to stay indoors...

so we took the hint and headed down to the beach. 

Maude was thrilled to show us the brilliance of her idea. 



 




Our beach chairs have backpack straps attached. We know. We're HUGE nerds.

later that evening, we went out to dinner here, and saw Super 8 [which we loved].

sunday was filled with church followed by lunch.

and our weekend was capped off with homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches.
